So we were very disappointed that the bail petition for Eddie Wright was denied. And when Hampden County DA's Office filed a so-called gatekeeper appeal to a single member of the SJC, we were looking at a delay in over one year for our client to be released from prison.
The DA's appeal on the case was DENIED! Not a single word in the opinion, which gives you everything you need to know about the quality of their case. It could be a matter other than days or weeks before Eddie is freed from prison. And if they elect to re-try him, the only smell you will notice is BBQ... the scent of a smoking DA.
We will cook them on a retrial.
